A solar pump works directly with solar radiation, avoiding batteries making the system much more affordable and extremely reliable. Sensors can be installed as level buoys (for tanks), pressure switches as a normal pump, or pressure transducers for constant pressure irrigation, regardless of the water level at the intake.
Even under cloud conditions, solar pumps can pump water, albeit to a lesser extent, but always maintaining pressure.
